Taking a momentary step back from the perceptions and sensations of quotidian life, the paint moves from hand to canvas, reality brought into sharper focus with each successive layer.
Detachment is liberating. Freed from the constraints of place and explanation, I am at last allowed to probe the depths of affection and sentiment in pure dialogue with my paint.
Like placid maps showing the way to serendipitous reunion.
