Monkeys are loitering in paradisiacally dazzling treetops, meanwhile the cheetahs sojourn in a no-parking zone. In a land after our time flora and fauna inherit earth, decaying goods of humankind vanish under moss and fern, they make space for a lushly vegetated utopia made from Tillandsias, epiphytes and orchids. Welcome to paradise! Welcome to tropicana!
In 2008, Carolin Löbbert graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, majoring in Illustration and Graphic Design. Since then, she has presented her work in several group and solo shows – in Tokyo, Antwerp and Berlin among others – and published it in magazines and anthologies. Carolin is member of the artist collective Spring. In cooperation with author Marcus Lucas she published her rst book Ice Ice Baby at avant verlag in 2015. As freelance illustrator, artist and graphic
designer she is working with international agencies and brands.
