In her first solo exhibition in Japan – “Time Travel” in 2012, Carolin Loebbert drew illustrations on porcelains and mixed classical motifs with motifs from the past, and this exhibition can be seen as a continuation of “Time Travel”.
Using “Environment” as a keyword, the artworks show a journey through past, present, and future. Taking inspiration from her childhood in Germany she mixes both urban and nature environment, resulting in a sense of disorientation – a sense of being LOST.
Her past works has had influences of “pop” and “cute”, but there has always been a venomous aspect as well. Her art portray human beings as they get LOST in their environment, in a realistic and never before seen way. Apart from the main artworks in the “LOST”-series, we are also proud to present other solid pieces of artworks and video installations.

1981年ドイツウエストファーレンのハルターン生まれ。2002年にハンブルグ応用科学大学にてイラストレーションとコミュニケーションデザインを学び、2003年よりベルリン、ストラスバーグ、東京など世界各国でグループ展に参加。
2004年よりフリーランスのイラストレーター、そしてグラフィックデザイナーとして活動し始め、すぐに様々な雑誌や選集で才能を発揮。2012年の母の日に、三越伊勢丹のキャンペーンのメインアイコンに作品が起用され、三越伊勢丹・新宿店のウインドウ一面に大きく取り上げられる。同年に行われた日本初個展「Time Travel」ではビンテージの陶器に手描きのイラストを散りばめた作品が話題を呼び、IDEEやLOFT等で展開される。彼女の独特な色使いと世界観は見る者を一目で虜にさせる魅力を持っている。
